‘I enjoyed every aspect of the group from start to finish. Being able to create something from start to finish when you are not very competent at art was good confidence building’

As part of our ongoing relationship with the Arts and Minds Network Artlink delivered a session in July as part of their training initiative ‘Creative Bites’.

These sessions aimed to:

o give group leaders working in mental health a deeper knowledge and awareness of creative community groups that they could signpost clients to (such as Studio 3),

o give group faciliatators a ‘taste’ of simple techniques and ideas for creative workshops,

o develop the creative skills of participants to facilitate creative groups,

o enable group workers to network and share skills and ideas

The feedback from the session was very positive and it is hoped that this confidence in creativity will be taken back to the workplace and disseminated through workshops delivered to clients.
